Ideas for Easier / Safer Access
Many older homes have beautifully built staircases, but their balustrades and railings no longer meet today's codes and can be
just plain unsafe. We feel it is very important to recommend and implement changes that not only add a measure safety but that detract
as little as possible from the original design features of your home. Our philosophy is not just "tear out and replace" but rather
to conscienciously make use of the structural features of the existing home. It should look likes it's always been there.

New railing system provides the necessary safety while maintaining the look and feel of the original space.
The original railings were in good shape but not high enough to be considered safe for an older resident.
A new railing system is installed with taller balusters. Closely matching the original style and color.
