Boothbay Harbor Cong. Church
The stained glass window has been carefully removed, and now occupies a prominent place in the new Chapel where it can be appreciated by the entire congregation.
Doors and entrances are repositioned in the Fellowship Hall to access the new offices and Sunday School.
A new elevator has been installed with access from the foyer.
The new foyer has been divided and now contains a new Audio Video Room, a large utility closet, and new stairwell leading down to the Fellowship Hall and administration offices.
Pre- Finish and Finish Phase....
The new Chapel Area is receiving a final coat of joint compound before being ready for paint.
Meanwhile, a larger water line has to be installed to accommodate the new fire sprinkler system.
And as luck would have it, there are a "few" obstacles.
Custom Wardrobes for the choir are installed. Note the sheet music "nooks" on each side.
Large custom doors were made "in house" to match the existing doors, and will be used to separate the main Sanctuary from the Chapel when needed.
Meanwhile, sections of pews are temporarily moved and the carpet protected, so work can begin on the ceiling and south wall. Note the new opening to the new Chapel.
Additional custom storage cabinets are installed in a large walk-in closet behind the Chapel. Pocket doors will close off the area when not needed.
The new custom doors are hung and adjusted. A little more trim and a finish coat of paint, and we can cross this one off the list.
The old kitchen adjacent to the fellowship hall has been "gutted", and a new kitchen and "butler's pantry" will soon be fully functional.
